Instructions for Application and Nomination for CLIP

 

We are excited that you are interested in participating in the Classified Leadership Institute for Professionals program here in the Chabot - Las Positas Community College District.

 

Please take a moment to review the Mission of the Classified Leadership Institute for Professionals:

Our Mission is to empower Classified Professionals through the implementation of programs focused on providing professional, educational, and personal growth in support of our educational community.       

 

Permanent employees can apply directly, or employees can be nominated by someone, for participation in CLIP.

Deadline for application or nomination to the 2019-2020 Cohort is May 3, 2019.  All candidates will be notified no

later than May 10, 2019

 

Eligibility for Participation in CLIP

You must:  

• apply or be nominated to participate in CLIP

• request permission from the person you are nominating

• be a regular permanent employee by the time the program begins

• have a desire to develop your personal leadership and professional skills

• notify your direct manager of your participation

• commit to a 2-day summer institute, and 4 to 8 hours per month from August through May of your cohort year, plus additional work outside of those hours in support of CLIP activities 

 

Participation decisions for CLIP are made by the prior cohort, based on application and nomination responses.  Ideal cohort composition is:  1 Confidential, 3 LPC, 3 Chabot, 3 District, 1 M&O, and 1 ITS

   

Scoring criteria is created by graduating cohort.
